The first trip up north was worth it! Nani ran a great race but the draw just got him. The fact his race was first was a blessing in disguise. We couldn't allow the same thing to happen to King so we decided to get him over as aggressively as we could, and if it failed, well at least we were proactive in attempting to overcome a draw that has not produced anything for the last five years.

What a star King is proving to be. He is now rated 109. We plan at the moment to go for a listed race at York on 13th July and then depending on how he gets on a crack at the Nunthorpe! Ground is key for him to be competitive at that level but he has certainly earnt his place.

The trip from Musselburgh to Salisbury on Sunday morning was a long one with a small hangover, but we got there! Rosie behaved impeccably in the paddock which was great to see. She fluffed the start which wasn't helpful but she still ran a fair race and will come on bundles for it. She has come out of her race in good order. She may go to Kempton in 3 weeks time.

Back on the M6 up to Carlisle on Monday with Diamondhead was worth it, if a little frustrating, He was a close 2nd! I am still not convinced if he is a 6F or 7F horse but either way he should be winning soon!

Break Rank ran well but I don't think we have worked him out yet and I think when we do his Mark will be higher than this. He will step up in trip next time and run on no quicker than good ground.
