update

Diamondhead probably not seen to best effect on the all weather and not the greatest of draws so we will put a line through that run. I pulled him out of Ffos Las earlier in the week due to ground, he may go to Bath next week.

Marengo ran an encouraging race over an inadequate trip and once he got his act together finished well enough. We wont see the best of him until next year but I think we will have him out to get some more experience.

Break Rank ran a blinder but just ran into one well handicapped horse. He will be out again in a couple of weeks as long as the ground is right.

Kopenhagen ran green and the ground was too lively for him. He is bred for cut but gives the impression at home he would not want it.

Mingun ran a cracker with the blinkers replaced by the cheek pieces. He loves Southwell but there is nothing there for him for a while so not sure where we go next but I would like to get him out again as he is off to the sales in Oct. Possibly step him up in trip.

A fantastic day on Monday at Windsor with both Croq and Jinker obliging. Croq is so game. He may well go to Goodwood or Epsom in a weeks time ground pending. Jinker would have been an unlucky loser as he met with trouble in running. He is a tough little nut. I think for now we will stick to 6F but has plenty of toe so 5F could be revisited at some point.

Rye Tangle ran a fair race at Worcester but is off to the sales in a week. He has schooled and would make a fun horse for someone.

I let Mahadee take his chance at Ffos Las as Treaders had driven all the way down there for one ride! He has run ok on cut but is much better with quick ground. He ran a blinder giving lumps of weight away to the first two on very soft ground so surely on that evidence he can go in some time soon.

Men don't Cry should be at Lingfield on Wednesday. Diamondhead at Bath on Thursday and then the big one on Friday! I am not getting fractious moody or difficult to work with in the build up at all!!!
